TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! The second annual celebration fundraiser for Voices for Children will be held 5:30-8:30pm, Thursday, September 8th, 2016. Join us for an evening of artisan appetizers and drinks by the fountain at the Jefferson County Historical Society History Center. “Our program supports volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) working with abused and neglected children in Jefferson and Ripley Counties,” explained Tonya Ruble-Richter, Executive Director. “We’re having an event to celebrate the difference these volunteers make in the lives of our community’s children and to raise funds to continue – hopefully increase – these efforts.”
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by talented youths from Jefferson & Ripley Counties featured in String Things. A “Staycation Fun” Silent Auction will feature Jefferson & Ripley County community experiences from Madison Consolidated High School season theater tickets, local wine tastings, local school athletic season passes, River Roots and Ribberfest wristbands, & much more!
“We chose to focus on community experiences instead of gift baskets and things for our auction, added Ruble-Richter. “We feel that better reflects our program and supports our community as well."
The feedback we received on our event last year was all very positive. The attendees complimented the food, location, music, auction, and content! So we decided to do the same thing again this year!
